Update: The feature described in this newsletter article has since been released. If you have not yet migrated to the new portal experience, please reach out to your Account Manager.

We've completely redesigned our integration for Epic MyChart. This upgrade makes it easier than ever for patients to find and engage with their assigned education, while helping you maximize your investment in Ignite on FHIR.

Here are 10 key enhancements you and your patients can look forward to:

  1. Personalized experience
A new welcome banner greets patients by their first name, making the portal feel like a direct extension of your care.

  2. Intuitive, organized interface
The old card layout has been replaced with a clean, list-based view sorted by date. This puts the most recent education at the top, helping patients get right to what they need most.

  3. Easy search and filtering
Patients can quickly search  by title or filter by media type (text or video), which means less time hunting for education and more time engaging.

  4. Enhanced accessibility
The design meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, including in-article text-size adjustments, to ensure education is clear and understandable for every patient.

  5. Patient-controlled engagement
Patients are empowered to own their health education journey, accessing the content most relevant to their needs.

  6. Comprehensive education history
A clear, complete record of all assigned education makes it easy to review past materials and see what’s new.

  7. Spanish-language support
A simple setting changes the entire interface to Spanish, creating a fully immersive experience in the patient’s preferred language.

  9. Insights into patient activity
Your care team can see when patients open assigned education and monitor their progress, supporting more informed follow-ups to ensure understanding.

  10. Future-ready foundation
The upgrade is built on a modern framework, powering the delivery of new features to meet the needs of your patients and organization.
