How Ignite on FHIR is organized
Ignite on FHIR is organized into distinct sections that can be accessed through the navigation bar.

Patient name/age
Displays the name and age of the patient pulled from the patient record.
Patient notifications/email address
Allows editing/adding the patient’s email in IoFHIR. If the patient’s email is not pulled into Ignite on FHIR from Epic, a red dot will appear. The email address is used to send notification that education has been posted to the patient portal through Patient Portal Integration.

Recommended Content (home)
Links to the Recommended Content (home) page, which displays content recommendations based on the patient record.
Folders
Links to the Folders page. Folders are created, populated, and maintained at an organization level and can contain licensed content, as well as an organization’s custom content. Learn more.
Favorites
Links to the Favorites page, which displays all the content items tagged by a clinician user regardless of the individual patient records. The tagged content items are indicated throughout Ignite on FHIR by a filled Favorites icon. Learn more.
Activity history
Links to the Activity History page, which is patient specific and presents an overview of all content items provided to the patient by any clinician within the last 12 months. If Patient Portal Integration is licensed, the Activity History Page also shows if the patient viewed a written document and/or watched a video via MyChart. Learn more.
Help
Launches the Help window from any page within Ignite on FHIR.
Light/Dark mode
Allows users to switch between a light background with dark text and a dark background with light text to help reduce eye strain and improve readability at night and whenever light may be reduced. Or, just for a preferred visual experience. Learn more.
Refresh
Reloads the patient context and pulls in a new diagnosis or clinical impression if/when it is added to the patient, without having to exit Ignite on FHIR.
